PAYDP works with volunteers and co-ordinators across the country to support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
PAYDP’s programme activities span Ghana’s ten (10) administrative Regions, reaching over one thousand (5000) girls across the country, in the following broad thematic areas
It is a nationwide girl’s movement that seeks to empower and build the capacity of girls and also prepare them as advocates against harmful traditional practises in their communities. These clubs meet every week to learn and share and organise activities for themselves and their community.
Altogether these PGN clubs consist of a membership of about 1000.
Through the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), PAYDP has implemented a child marriage programme under the theme “Integrated Legal Literacy, Livelihood Skills Training and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Services for Female Head Porters (Kayayei) in selected Urban Markets in Three Regions in Ghana”.
